Even the biggest Canaries fan would admit it hasn’t been the most exciting of seasons this time round.
So see this one out with a bang not a whimper, by enjoying a last hurrah at the Norwich City Fans Social Club season-ending get-together on April 26th at Carrow Road.
Not many professional clubs can say their owners, directors and coaches are game enough to join fans for a few drinks and a natter – let alone compete against them in a round of Giant Jenga but that’s exactly what we got at last year’s social night.
Some of the above (especially the Jenga) may be making an appearance again this time round, along with other fun games and some of our wonderful sponsors, previous speakers, hosts, helpers, heroes and YOU the fans - who make our events possible.
Our informal volunteers’ group runs events for all fans through the season and - thank goodness – the closed season too. This season we’ve had some tried and tested favourites on our roster – and some new ones too.
Our ever-popular February charity quiz for the Community Sports Foundation raised £2600; we had a packed pre-season friendly with Steve Stone, Stuart Webber and Daniel Farke and ran a ground-breaking mental health awareness evening with the help of our friends Michael Bailey, Cedric Anselin and Norman Lamb.
Shame if you missed stories of the toasted mouse, poaching pheasants and scary bin lids at the “They Think It’s All Over…” night with Bryan Gunn, Bill Punton and Jamie Cureton – but maybe you sneaked a peak behind the scenes of the punditry world with our Canary-coloured media gurus from the world of local and national journalism.
And whatever happened to that young Maddison lad who appeared at the player’s forum?
Come and review the season that’s gone and look ahead to the new one on April 26th, Top of the City bar at Carrow Road. Doors/bar open 7.30pm and entry is FREE! Check out our picture gallery of last year's social evening to see what you’re in for.
